An Alexander+McQueen pop-up shop opened at the Isetan Shinjuku store on April 1st. It will be on display until the 7th. The shop is located on the 3rd floor of the main building, Center Park/The Stage #3. The limited-edition items include the SMALL PADLOCK (185,000 yen) and MINI PADLOCK (177,000 yen) from the Padlock series, one of the brand's iconic bags, which features a skull padlock. The bags are eye-catching with their gorgeous glitter. Also available for presale at the Isetan Shinjuku store are a white and gray Bloom Skull overshirt with a skull and floral print (both ¥35,000), a rose-colored scarf with a yellow skull (¥32,000), and a scarf with a pink skull printed with a woman's hairstyle from the Edo period (¥35,000). The brand's SS15 theme is "McQueen's Japonism," a collection with a strong Japanese aesthetic. This theme is strongly reflected at the venue, where Japonism-inspired pieces inspired by antique kimonos are on display. Items include dresses with designs reminiscent of family crests, a seductive pink cherry blossom design known as geisha pink, and a T-shirt with a square chest opening reminiscent of armor. The venue will also feature three styles of rare pieces from the SS15 collection, which will only be on display at this store in Japan.

A buyer in charge of the store commented, "If we as Japanese people take a fresh look at wa (harmony) from the perspective of 'Japan as seen through overseas brands,' we may be able to see a different side of Japan. The exterior walls of the venue have been decorated in a cherry blossom motif to evoke the collection. We hope to convey a new Japan through this event."
