Beautiful People's Fall/Winter 2015-16 collection explores the full potential of natural materials. Harnessing the power of plants and animals, the brand created a rich and luxurious collection, bringing out the natural beauty of extra virgin materials.
The color palette features gentle gradations of camel, pink beige, navy, various shades of gray, and burgundy. These all express the natural beauty of mink, camel, sheep, coyote, cashmere, Angora rabbit, and alpaca.
The collection is made from 100% natural materials, offering soft, warm, basic, and traditional pieces. The wild, natural texture of the materials, wrapped around the refined human body, creates a unique elegance and sexiness. The animal-hair-like makeup on the eyebrows of the models in the show was also striking. Each relaxed piece maximizes the richness and presence of the materials, thanks to the Maison's signature pattern-making. The single-layered, drop-shoulder coat is designed to emphasize the fullness of the material. Furthermore, most of the stitching is done by hand. Despite its apparent volume, it's incredibly lightweight. The generously sized flannel shirt features a luxurious check pattern, crafted vertically and horizontally using spun silk. The soft, brushed texture adds a touch of warmth. A wrap blouson made from cut blankets and a skirt with a wrap-style slit create a unique silhouette. Even the simplest pullovers reveal a glimpse of the designer's commitment to quality materials. Ribbed jersey is crafted from 100% cashmere from the Alashan region, renowned for producing the finest, finest cashmere in China, while a gauze-like knitwear is crafted from precious yak material, of which only 100g can be harvested from one animal.
Charming points include the animal motif pins used as accessories, which indicate the material of each item, and the embroidery on the chest.
In addition to the iconic trench coats, riders, denim jackets, and T-shirts born from the maison's concept of "children's clothes for adults," this season also sees the release of "school bags for adults," created in collaboration with a long-established school bag manufacturer.
