The "DIORAMA" bag collection featured in Dior's Spring/Summer 2015 collection featured 26 designs, but the most striking piece was the "Embroidered Matelassé Calf Leather" (¥440,000 / H15.5 x W25 x D8cm) adorned with sparkling flowers.
This boxy shoulder bag is crafted from calf leather. The front features a sparkling flower embroidered in blue and red beads, inspired by the 2014-15 Autumn/Winter Haute Couture collection. The embroidered Dior badge on the bottom right is also a highlight. Its functionality is also appealing: it can be worn crossbody or over the shoulder, or even as a handbag by storing the chain inside. Available in black and white.
The clasp, which resembles the Dior emblem, represents a new type of "Dior woman," embodies Raf Simons' new Dior code.
This bag collection expresses "looking to the future by dynamically remixing history while respecting progress and tradition." It is an intersection of the 18th century style that influenced Dior and the futuristic vision of artistic director Raf Simons.
