Haider Ackermann holds first event in Japan at Isetan Shinjuku

Aug 12, 2013

Haider Ackermann will hold its first pop-up event at International Creators/Re-Style Plus on the third floor of Isetan Shinjuku from September 25th until October 1st. This marks the brand's first event in Japan. The limited-edition item will be the black leather jacket featured in the brand's Paris show. Crafted from thick, wrinkled cowhide leather, it will be priced at ¥378,000. This fall/winter collection, inspired by photographs of James Dean and Marilyn Monroe, embodies a woman who possesses both strength and vulnerability. Featuring gray, brown, and black as the primary colors, the collection offers a conservative style, unusual for the brand, with structured jackets, army pants, and oversized coats. This season, the brand has seen a particularly strong increase in purchasing in Japan, primarily at select shops, and an increase in rentals for magazine shoots.
