Fashion model Cara Delevingne was born on August 12, 1992, in London, England. Her father was a real estate agent and her mother a stylist. Her grandfather was the chairman of English Heritage, an organization established by the British government to protect England's historical buildings. She grew up in a wealthy family. She first appeared as a model in the Italian edition of Vogue in 2002. In 2009, she signed with the modeling agency Storm and made her full-fledged debut. She gained attention after appearing in a Burberry Prorsum runway show in 2010, and has since appeared as a face for H&M, Burberry, and Chanel. She has also been selected as a model for Fendi, Mulberry, and Saint Laurent.

She is also active in fields other than modeling, making her acting debut in 2012 as Sorokina in the film Anna Karenina. It is reported that she will play the lead role in a new film which will soon begin filming. She is also working on an album with her close friend Rita Ora in preparation for her debut as a singer, and the two performed together at a DKNY event held in London in June.

In her private life, she was in a relationship with Harry Styles of the idol group One Direction. She is currently dating singer-songwriter Jake Bugg.
