Chloe has announced its new fall/winter bag, "BAYLEE." It will be available at Isetan Shinjuku on August 14th, at Chloe Aoyama and Matsuya Ginza on the 27th, and at other stores nationwide on September 15th. The bag, which was unveiled at a show in March this year, is crafted from calf leather and features a rounded shape and two-tone color scheme on the front and back. It comes with a wide strap featuring a metal plate and a delicate chain at the zipper. It comes in two sizes, large and medium. The large size is available in three colors: marshmallow gray and black, yummy cookie and brownie brown, and solid black (exclusive to the Hankyu Umeda main store), and is priced at 224,700 yen. The medium comes in six colors: Marshmallow Gray x Black, Yummy Cookie x Brownie Brown, Mandarin Peel x Cherry Jelly, Blueberry Muffin, Black, and Yummy Cookie (exclusive to Isetan Shinjuku), and is priced at 210,000 yen.
Chloé founder Gaby Aghion used to name her collections alphabetically. Clare Waight Keller, who became creative director, has continued this idea since the 2012 Autumn/Winter collection, naming her bag collections alphabetically. The first collection was "ALICE," which begins with "A," and the second was this "BAYLEE." The third collection will be a shoulder bag called "CLARE," named after the Claire bag, and will be released in the 2014 Pre-Spring collection.
