New York fashion brand Kate Spade New York will open a pop-up shop on the first floor of the Isetan Shinjuku store, The Stage, on August 14th. The shop will run until the 19th. The event theme is "New York," the brand's birthplace, and the shop will primarily feature items featuring iconic New York motifs such as the Big Apple, donuts, and yellow cabs. The shop will also be offering an early release of the brand's new iconic bag, "2 PARK AVENUE," which will be released in the fall of 2013. Featuring a large ribbon design on the front and large enough to hold A4-sized documents, the bag will be available in a purple color exclusive to Isetan Shinjuku. Additionally, the "KSNY x Darcel" series, a collaboration with Darcel, a character drawn by Craig Redman of the globally active five-person graphic artist collective RINZEN, will include an Isetan-exclusive tote bag, as well as bangles and charm bracelets.
"Kate Spade New York" was founded in 1993. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the brand's founding. This spring, the brand launched its affordable line, "KATE SPADE SATURDAY."
