3.1 Phillip Lim opened a pop-up store at Omotesando Hills on the 23rd. This is the brand's first shop featuring bags and shoes. The shop offers a wide variety of new and classic bags, shoes, and leather goods from Phillip Lim, who won the 2013 CFDA Award for Accessories Designer in June of this year. The store will be open until January 13th, 2014. The shop measures 84.1 square meters (25.5 tsubo). The interior was designed by architectural designer Jo Nagasaka of Schemata Architects, and follows the theme of the pop-up event held at the Isetan Shinjuku store until the 19th. While furniture such as recycled wood and wire hangers remain, new fixtures made from stacked manga magazines have been installed. The brand also launched its first e-commerce site in Japan on the same day through the social commerce app Origami. The app will be participating in Fashion's Night Out on September 7th, where visitors who check in at the Aoyama flagship store or Omotesando Hills store using the app will have the chance to win a bag signed by the designer.

In addition, the first Japan-only shop for shoe brand STUART WEITZMAN will open at Omotesando Hills on the same day. Future plans include the opening of a Salvatore Ferragamo fragrance shop and a limited-time COLE HAAN store, as well as the first Japanese store of Seattle-based popcorn specialty store KuKuRuZa Popcorn.
