Dutch children's clothing brand Oilily will hold a pop-up event to celebrate its 50th anniversary at the Isetan Shinjuku store from August 28th to September 10th and at the Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi main store from September 18th to 24th.
The event will feature the brand's AW13 collection, featuring gingham-style patterns and colorful prints on its signature classic silhouettes. In addition to new bags and accessories, two dresses and one T-shirt will be available exclusively at Isetan Mitsukoshi.
Oilily was founded in Alkmaar, northwestern Netherlands, in 1963 by the Olsthorns to create clothes for their twin daughters. After overcoming two bankruptcies, it resurfaced in 2010. Currently available in over 80 countries, Oilily's clothes are loved by celebrities such as Madonna and Julia Roberts. An adult women's line was later launched. In addition to clothing, the brand's popular mother's bags and carry cases, which feature original colors and functionality, have made it a lifestyle brand that can be enjoyed by both parents and children.
