Kotobatofuku opens next to Kyoto Gallery 110. Supporting young artists throughout the seasons

Aug 28, 2013

On the 31st, Kotoba Tofuku (67-15 Nishinokyo Shojicho, Nakagyo Ward, Kyoto City), a select shop selling fashion items and related books, will open next to Gallery 110 south of Nijo Castle in Kyoto. Opening hours are from 12 noon to 8pm. Closed on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Managed by Ashida Hiroshi, Inoue Masato and Fujii Miyoko.

Based on the concept of "seasonless," the shop will attempt to sell past collections from brands at reasonable prices, in contrast to the fashion distribution system in which items are put on sale every six months. The first brand to be sold will be ANREALAGE. Brands will be selected on a rotating basis every one or two months.

Like Gallery 110, one of the goals is to support young designers. The lineup will center around emerging Japanese brands such as TOMOUMI ONO, YUKI FUJISAWA, COMMUNE, qr, proef, SHUN OKUBO, Shunsuke Hatakeyama, coci la elle, Yuri Aoki, malamute, and ONEGAIGOTO.

On the first day of opening, from 6pm to 8pm, there will be an opening party held in conjunction with Yokozawa Kotoha's "KEEP CALM" exhibition at gallery 110.
