Designed for a modern, urban lifestyle, the new watch features a 41mm stainless steel case with a black DLC (diamond-like carbon) finish. To celebrate the city that inspired each "Cities Limited Edition," the bezel is engraved with the Bvlgari logo and the name of one of nine cities. Powered by the automatic BVL 191 caliber, this automatic manufacture movement comes with two interchangeable straps: brown calfskin leather and black rubber. Dynamic and surprisingly contemporary, it offers versatility and elegance, allowing you to effortlessly transition from weekday to weekend style. Each watch comes with an elegant black grained leather pouch, perfect for travel or on the move.

The original design of the BVLGARI BVLGARI watch, which debuted in 1977, was born in response to overwhelming demand following the BVLGARI Roma watch that the Maison gifted to 100 customers in 1975. It is deeply rooted in the brand's Roman history and speaks to architecture and Italian art. The circular case is shaped like the columns found on ancient Roman monuments, and the bezel is inspired by Roman Imperial coins. At the time, coins featured the emperor's name engraved around the perimeter and his portrait in the center.

A global perspective, born in Rome

First introduced in 1975 as a limited edition reserved for 100 Bvlgari clients, the collection quickly became an icon among Bvlgari's discerning clientele. Its bold design, featuring "BVLGARI" and "ROMA" engraved on the bezel, its classic yellow gold case, digital display, and the unexpected combination of a leather-trimmed strap reminiscent of clasps commonly used in ancient Rome, were quintessentially Bvlgari. The watch celebrated the Bvlgari family's deep ties to Rome, making Bvlgari the first brand to have its name engraved on the case. It was an instant success, gracing the wrists of 100 of the Maison's closest associates. Orders poured in from around the world, leading Bvlgari to expand production and launch the first model, showcasing two hands and sophisticated hour markers on a more traditional dial.
