The BVLGARI BVLGARI Cities Limited Edition 2020 is a sports watch that epitomizes urban casual. It is the latest model to inherit the legacy of provocation that has made the original BVLGARI BVLGARI a standout in the luxury watch industry for over 40 years. Each watch in the new collection is inspired by Rome, Tokyo, Dubai, Paris, London, Ibiza, Milan, Mexico City, and New York. These nine cities have long been influential in BVLGARI's history and are also popular with today's urban adventurers.
To further enhance the connection to the city, each Cities Limited Edition comes with a set of 12 unique art prints, each created by nine talented young artists. They share their vision for the cities featured in the collection and their connection to Bvlgari.

Designed for a modern, urban lifestyle, the new watch features a 41mm stainless steel case with a black DLC (diamond-like carbon) finish. To celebrate the city that inspired each "Cities Limited Edition," the bezel is engraved with the Bvlgari logo and the name of one of nine cities. Powered by the automatic BVL 191 caliber, this automatic manufacture movement comes with two interchangeable straps: brown calfskin leather and black rubber. Dynamic and surprisingly contemporary, it offers versatility and elegance, allowing you to effortlessly transition from weekday to weekend style. Each watch comes with an elegant black grained leather pouch, perfect for travel or on the move.
The original design of the BVLGARI BVLGARI watch, which debuted in 1977, was born in response to overwhelming demand following the BVLGARI Roma watch that the Maison gifted to 100 customers in 1975. It is deeply rooted in the brand's Roman history and speaks to architecture and Italian art. The circular case is shaped like the columns found on ancient Roman monuments, and the bezel is inspired by Roman Imperial coins. At the time, coins featured the emperor's name engraved around the perimeter and his portrait in the center.
 1975 Bvlgari Roma
1975 Bvlgari RomaThe watch has undergone incremental refinements over the years, retaining its essential aesthetic while emphasizing its sharp curves and refined aesthetic. Now, the Bvlgari Bvlgari Cities Limited Edition 2020 carries that legacy into the future, drawing inspiration from the world's most inspiring cities and Bvlgari's unwavering passion for travel and exploration. The new version allows the wearer to develop an emotional connection to a special city. While the original BVLGARI BVLGARI watch was inspired by Bvlgari's hometown of Rome, this latest limited edition model, available in limited quantities, broadens its horizons globally. Bvlgari has always expressed a cosmopolitan spirit, incorporating the richness of exotic lands and different parts of the world into its designs. From the Art Deco motifs of the 1930s, which incorporated ancient Egyptian motifs, to the Japanese and Indian influences of the 1970s, to the American Pop Art movement that has informed recent Bvlgari collections, an international perspective is an essential element of Bvlgari's DNA.

Cities and Artists
Representing Bvlgari's cosmopolitan origins, nine artists initially created 12 illustrations for each watch. The number 12 echoes the number of hour markers on the dial. Illustrations, rather than photography, were chosen for their emotional power, their potential to convey intimacy, and their overall freedom in time and space. These famous cities were chosen for the new collection because of their dynamic, urban nature and the serendipitous way they have attracted Bvlgari. Each is a dream destination for the modern urban traveler, a place where you can spend all day wandering the streets in search of hidden gems. The Bvlgari family has a sentimental connection to Rome. Rome, the city where Sotirio Bulgari settled in 1881, has always been the source of his designs. Now, by wearing a Bvlgari Bvlgari Cities Limited Edition, you can express your emotional connection to one of these nine incredible cities.

To capture its glory, artist Iris Hatzfeld captured its cinematic brilliance with rich pencil strokes of golden light and exquisite textures. Digital artist Faunesque captures Tokyo
Digital artist Faunesque captures TokyoBVLGARI has always been captivated by the charm of Tokyo. Digital artist Faunesque has used the latest technology to capture the city's high-tech exterior, transforming traditional elements into a fresh, futuristic feel. Tokyo's unique charm lies in its uniqueness, drawing modern urban adventurers. It's a quality that permeates every new edition of the BVLGARI BVLGARI collection.
A global perspective, born in Rome
First introduced in 1975 as a limited edition reserved for 100 Bvlgari clients, the collection quickly became an icon among Bvlgari's discerning clientele. Its bold design, featuring "BVLGARI" and "ROMA" engraved on the bezel, its classic yellow gold case, digital display, and the unexpected combination of a leather-trimmed strap reminiscent of clasps commonly used in ancient Rome, were quintessentially Bvlgari. The watch celebrated the Bvlgari family's deep ties to Rome, making Bvlgari the first brand to have its name engraved on the case. It was an instant success, gracing the wrists of 100 of the Maison's closest associates. Orders poured in from around the world, leading Bvlgari to expand production and launch the first model, showcasing two hands and sophisticated hour markers on a more traditional dial. Once again, it was a huge success, and a truly new icon was born. In 1977, the first Bvlgari Bvlgari collection was officially launched, a natural evolution of the Bvlgari Roma watch. Building on the collection's global success, Bvlgari began to take its full strides in the watch industry.
