TUDOR is a Swiss watch brand founded in 1926 by Rolex founder Hans Wilsdorf with the desire to create a pioneering watch that combined the technology and reliability of Rolex. Black Bay Fifty-Eight "Navy Blue". This new model, named after the year (1958) of the legendary Ref. 7924 (commonly known as the "Big Crown"), Tudor's first diver's watch to achieve 200m water resistance, is now available in a new colorway. Among the many models that inherit the beauty of the historic Ref. 7924, this model features a 39mm case size, a characteristic proportion of the 1950s. Fitting even the slimmest wrists, it will captivate both those who prefer smaller watches and vintage enthusiasts alike, and is a commemorative model that celebrates Tudor's tradition of blue sports watches.

TUDOR BLUE
In 1969, Tudor introduced a diver's watch with a blue dial and bezel. Blue was subsequently adopted by many other sports watch models, and the color quickly became known as "TUDOR Blue." In the 1970s, Tudor divers' watches supplied to the French Navy also featured blue. The navy dial and bezel insert of the Black Bay Fifty-Eight "Navy Blue" are inspired by these historic models. The color is also reflected in the model's "soft-touch" strap, which has a flannel-like feel.

10 YEARS OF THE TUDOR FABRIC STRAP
The navy blue fabric strap is also exclusive to this model. It is a brand icon, and Tudor has been at the forefront of fabric straps ever since it was first introduced in 2010. Crafted by Julien Faure, a family-run company in Saint-Étienne, France, for over 150 years, on looms that date back to the 19th century, this exquisite fabric strap is unmatched in both quality and comfort. This partnership, which began in 2010 when the fabric strap was first introduced for the Heritage Chrono, has spawned unparalleled know-how and marks its 10th anniversary this year.

THE CALIBRE MT5402
The Black Bay Fifty-Eight “Navy Blue” is equipped with the Manufacture Calibre MT5402, which displays the hours, minutes and seconds, and, like all TUDOR manufacture calibres, is finished with the distinctive signature. The single-piece tungsten rotor is openworked and sandblasted with a satin-brushed finish. The bridges and mainplate are sandblasted and polished, with laser-etched decoration. Robust, durable, reliable, and precise, this movement features a variable inertia balance wheel maintained by a two-point traversing bridge. Featuring an anti-magnetic silicon balance spring, the MT5402 is Swiss-certified as a chronometer. While the standard for this certification is -4 to +6 seconds per day in its original condition, Tudor has gone even further, achieving a precision of -2 to +4 seconds per day in its assembled condition. Another notable feature is its approximately 70-hour power reserve, meaning you can take your watch off on Friday night and put it back on Monday morning without having to rewind it.

THE ESSENCE OF BLACK BAY
Like other Black Bay models, the Black Bay Fifty-Eight "Navy Blue" features the "Snowflake" hour hand design seen in models from the 1969 catalog. The Black Bay was born from the blending of a classic look with contemporary mechanical watchmaking. This is not simply a "reissue of a model from the past." It embodies the 70-year history of Tudor diver's watches, brought to life for the modern age. Its neo-vintage philosophy, combined with the manufacturing expertise, reliability, robustness, and precision, make it a truly practical watch for today.

THE TUDOR DIVERS' WATCH
The history of Tudor diver's watches began in 1954 with the introduction of the Ref. 7922. At the time, it boasted water resistance to 100m (330ft) and can be said to be the origin of Tudor diver's watches. Tudor's philosophy has remained consistent: to create practical watches that are robust, reliable and precise. In the approximately 70 years since the introduction of the Ref. 7922, Tudor diver's watches have continued to evolve based on that philosophy, winning support from professionals in a variety of fields and navies around the world.

THE TUDOR GUARANTEE
Since the brand was founded by Hans Wilsdorf in 1926, TUDOR's vision for creating the perfect watch has remained unchanged: the never-ending pursuit of robustness, durability and precision. Building on its accumulated experience and know-how in producing exceptional quality, TUDOR has extended the warranty period to five years for products purchased after January 2020. Additionally, for products purchased between July 1, 2018 and December 31, 2019, the 18-month warranty period has been extended to three and a half years. We also recommend an overhaul every five to ten years, depending on frequency of use and circumstances.
