Grand Seiko will release a limited-edition model featuring a purple dial at six stores in the Ginza district on July 11th, showcasing the unique charm of Ginza, a place where people, traditional culture, and an enterprising spirit intersect.

Ginza, where Seiko was founded, has developed since the Meiji era as a cutting-edge district that incorporates new cultures from around the world and disseminates culture and information. Today, as a district that preserves tradition while inheriting its enterprising spirit, it welcomes visitors from various countries and embodies the intertwining of cultures across the ages. This Ginza limited-edition model is designed to evoke the image of a district that continues to spread its originality from Ginza to the world.

Purple, a beautiful color that combines tradition and dignity and inspires the desire to take on new challenges, is used on the dial and rotating bezel as a symbol of Ginza. The dial pattern is a more abstract version of the Ginza grid pattern, modeled after the streets of Ginza, which has been fused with the purple color. The 24-hour display on the rotating bezel and dial ring allows you to know the time in three time zones.

The movement is equipped with the Caliber 9R66, a Spring Drive movement with GMT functionality, assembled by the skilled craftsmen at Shinshu Toki no Takumi Kobo. Additionally, as a special feature unique to this limited edition model, the regular model features a see-through back instead of the metal back case back, and the words "GINZA LIMITED EDITION" are subtly printed on the case, marking it as a Ginza-exclusive model.
