The Nordic Lifestyle Market Season 07: Summer 2017, an event showcasing the Nordic lifestyle, will be held on July 8th and 9th at the United Nations University Courtyard Plaza in Aoyama, Tokyo. Held every three months since 2015, this Nordic lifestyle market celebrates the craftsmanship inherent in objects and experiences. This year's theme is "Enriching Life," and approximately 40 exhibitors will gather, selling Nordic vintage furniture, design, and crafts. Food experiences and workshops designed to bring a different perspective to everyday life will also be held. The second "Nordic Lounge" will be held on the first day of the event from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The theme is "Considering Nordic Breakthrough through Food." Drinks include a tasting of five types of craft gin, which are becoming popular across Scandinavia, and three types of craft coffee, including coffee from hip Stockholm roasters "Stockholm Roast" and "Tim Wendelboe." Additionally, chef Naoko Tsujimura of Shirokanedai Bistro Egg will be serving food pairings to complement the gin. Prices are ¥3,500 for a three-coffee tasting, ¥4,000 for a five-gin tasting, and ¥4,500 for a three-coffee and five-gin tasting. All prices include a talk session, finger food, and a copy of the lifestyle magazine "Magazine - a quiet day season" (reservations required). Other activities during the event include a workshop where you can create your own refreshing lemonade by adding fresh herbs from the Farmer's Market @UNU. From 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on the 9th, you can make a 7cm square crown basket modeled after the traditional Finnish birch craft (registration required), and a workshop where you can make art panels using Scandinavian fabrics and wallpaper (three sessions on each day, registration required).
