New toast menu available at Sakimoto Bakery Cafe, a premium bread specialty store

Five new toast menu items will be available at the bakery cafes (some stores with cafes) of Sakimoto, a high-end bread specialty store that often has long lines, from July 1st.


The new items include three types of toast from the main menu and two limited-time toast items. The limited-time items are seasonal menu items that you'll want to eat at that time of year. The toast items available are perfect for brunch, lunch, and sweet treats.


Grand Menu: 3 Items





"Gokubi Open Sandwich - Margherita" (727 yen)
The "Gokubi Open Sandwich - Margherita" is toasted with tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese made with raw milk from the Nemuro and Kushiro regions of Hokkaido, semi-dried tomatoes, and fresh cherry tomatoes. It's finished with basil leaves, extra virgin olive oil, and "Orange Topaz" jewel jam. This open sandwich showcases the delicious flavors of tart tomatoes and melted mozzarella cheese.




"Gokubi Open Sandwich - Mushroom Garlic Fromage" (727 yen)
The "Gokubi Open Sandwich - Mushroom Garlic Fromage" is toasted and topped with mushrooms sautéed in garlic, butter, and truffle oil, and four types of cheese: mozzarella, red cheddar, Gouda, and Parmesan. It is finished with a sauce made from "Flower Honey Opal" honey and Italian balsamic vinegar, and topped with basil.




"Gokubi Open Sandwich - Strawberry and Custard" (636 yen)
"Gokubi Open Sandwich - Strawberry and Custard" is layered with custard cream and jewel jam "Strawberry Garnet", topped with plenty of fresh strawberries and finished with a sprinkling of mint. You'll want to savor this sweet-and-sour, vibrant strawberry sandwich combined with the mellow, rich custard cream.


Two Limited-Time Menu Items (Available from July 1st to July 31st)




"Gokubi Open Sandwich - White Peach and Mascarpone" (636 yen)
The "Gokubi Open Sandwich - White Peach and Mascarpone" features a Japanese white peach soaked in pomegranate syrup, layered with "Ruby Rose Raspberry" jewel jam and mascarpone cheese cream made with Hokkaido raw milk. The fragrant pistachios sprinkled on top add a touch of texture.



"Gokubi Open Sandwich - Uji Matcha Tiramisu" (636 yen)
"Gokubi Open Sandwich - Uji Matcha Tiramisu" is a luxurious Japanese-style sweet toast topped with Uji matcha, Hokkaido bean paste, vanilla ice cream, and tourmaline lemon jewel jam.

The "Gokubi "Natural" Bread used at Sakimoto Bakery Cafe is made with mild North American wheat, the type most familiar to Japanese people, and is one of Sakimoto's signature breads, with a crisp, chewy texture. It is made using the "Yudane method" which maintains a moist texture, and is free of eggs and dairy, creating a masterpiece that pursues the gentle aroma of wheat and a delicate mouthfeel.

The five new open sandwiches introduced in this article are available at Sakimoto's premium bread specialty store, Sapporo Minami 13-jo store, Bakery Cafe Namba store, Osaka Abeno store, Kyoto Sanjo Kamogawa store, Kumamoto Hikari no Mori store, and Bakery Cafe Miyazaki store.
