Onitsuka Tiger unveiled its 2024 Fall/Winter Yellow Collection at Milan Fashion Week on February 21, 2024 (Italian time).

The theme of this collection is "Urban Winter." The looks, made up of Japanese-made apparel, feature a wet coating finish that evokes Tokyo being hit by a sudden thunderstorm, expressing the essence of an urban winter landscape.

The colour palette combines the iconic yellow with metropolitan grey, black, beige and hazelnut, creating a fresh twist on the silhouettes throughout the looks. Coats, jackets and peacoats feature wide shoulders and slim waists accentuated by tailoring details such as tubular padding and ribbing. The double cashmere hoodie offers a new layering concept as outerwear worn over coats and blousons in the same material.

For men, the collection includes extra-long and ankle-cut chinos and five-pocket wide-leg pants, while for women, it features stretchy slim-fit and oversized trousers. They can be coordinated with flowing micro skirts, silk panel dresses embroidered with shiny sequins, wool socks, and creeper shoes. The brand's first V-cut high heels also feature comfort and functionality. The collection also includes hybrid shoes that combine a rubber sole with a trekking boot, and a synthetic leather double bag with a shoulder strap.

For the show celebrating the brand's 75th anniversary, the brand showcased 49 looks, named after the year it was founded, 1949. The looks were accented by ribbed zip-neck wool wear, inspired by the brand's most iconic track top. The piece can also be worn as a modern scarf or an extreme crop top, making it a celebratory piece for Onitsuka Tiger.

The show began with a dance performance by the dance team "Avant Gardie," produced by choreographer Akane. The yellow uniforms worn by the 17 members and the special MEXICO 66 SD shoes, featuring no Onitsuka Tiger stripes, paid homage to the film "Kill Bill." They represent the evolution of the brand through a new style that interprets heritage in a fashionable way. The runway show also featured a live performance by world-renowned pianist Yuja Wang. The music was composed to match the theme of this collection, and the piano has been specially designed for the show by Steinway & Sons, the world's leading piano manufacturer beloved for generations, and wrapped in yellow.
