Onitsuka Tiger, Japan's first fashion brand, opened its Yellow Collection concept store in Omotesando on April 27, 2025. Located in the heart of Omotesando, the store is a contemporary space that fuses Japanese tradition with Tokyo's cutting-edge aesthetic and craftsmanship. Inspired by the contrast between Tokyo's energetic dynamism and its delicate sense of order and materials, the store reflects the brand's heritage and the city's dynamic urban character.

The façade shines in Onitsuka Tiger's signature vibrant yellow, accentuated by the brand's lettering logo. The fluid louvers and backlit panels capture light and shadow, creating a harmonious rhythm that connects the brand to the vibrant urban space of Omotesando.

The store is comprised of four floors, embodying the essence of craftsmanship while paying deep respect to Japanese culture. Each floor creates a contemporary aesthetic through a dialogue of mirror-like reflections, industrial textures, and contrasting colors. The structural design of the ceiling and fixtures, reminiscent of shoji screens and bamboo blinds, is a modern reinterpretation of traditional Japanese aesthetics through a variety of materials.
Three floors, from the basement to the second floor, feature collections presented at Milan Fashion Week and DENIVITA, featuring Japanese-made denim. The vibrant yellow color expresses the brand's active spirit, while contrasting dark accents on the floors and walls add a sophisticated aesthetic. The polished finish, achieved by handcrafting multiple layers of color, reflects the light filtering into the store, evoking the vibrant energy of Tokyo.

Furthermore, a giant yellow glass element, meticulously assembled by hand with expert craftsmanship, emanates a striking presence, injecting energy into the entire space and symbolizing the brand's dynamism. Combined with the lattice-patterned ceiling and lighting, it brings depth and sophistication to the space, adding a touch of futurism. The third floor mainly features heritage-style items that combine the charm of the archives with a modern twist, creating a space where visitors can experience new charms.
The store was designed under the supervision of STUDIO DINI CATALDI. The colors, materials, and innovative spatial design brighten up Omotesando, inviting customers to a special world where tradition and innovation coexist in harmony.
