Grand Hyatt Tokyo introduces a wide range of sweets menus to enhance Valentine's Day and White Day celebrations

Jan 16, 2017

Starting February 1st, Grand Hyatt Tokyo will be offering special menus to add a touch of elegance to Valentine's Day and White Day. From February 1st to 14th, Fiorentina Pastry Boutique on the first floor will be offering a total of five Valentine's Day sweets, including three new creations. One of the three new creations, the bar-shaped "Baton Chocolat" (2,000 yen), is available in two flavors: high-quality milk chocolate and sweet chocolate. Customers can add up to 20 characters of their choice to the sweet, and only 80 pieces will be available for pre-order online. The "Hazelnut Chocolat" (2,000 yen) features large, fragrant hazelnuts from Italy coated in chocolate. The "Orangette" (2,000 yen) is a chocolate-coated orange peel, offering a balanced blend of bittersweet, juicy French oranges and the natural aroma of cocoa. Also available this year is the "Chocolat Cosmos" (3 colors per piece/3,000 yen), inspired by planets in space. The planet-like chocolate doll is filled with bonbons, heart-shaped chocolates, and rice crispies. Also available are the "Chocolat Macarons" (3 pieces/1,000 yen, 6 pieces/1,850 yen), perfect as a gift for friends and family. From March 1st to 14th, five White Day-exclusive sweets will be available, including three new treats. The new treats include the "Schaumküsse" (3 pieces/900 yen), a layer of fluffy marshmallows and rice puffs coated in chocolate; the "White Noisette" (2,000 yen), made with large, fragrant Italian hazelnuts coated in white chocolate; and the "Lemon Jet" (2,000 yen), made with lemon peel coated in crushed almonds and white chocolate. The five items on offer include the "Petit Coffret" (¥3,500), a heart-shaped white chocolate cup filled with raspberry macarons and heart-shaped meringues, and the "Millefiori Candy" (¥800), filled with adorable candies featuring hearts and gift boxes. Additionally, Fiorentina on the first floor will be offering Valentine's Day-perfect dessert pizzas (¥1,800 each) from February 1st to 28th. These include a unique pizza paired with homemade vanilla ice cream and a sweet pizza with melting chocolate when opened. The French Kitchen on the second floor will be offering a Valentine's Day-only dinner menu featuring red and pink motifs from February 11th to 14th. A chocolate fountain (¥3,750 for the lunch buffet and ¥8,800 for the brunch buffet) will also be available from February 1st to March 31st, with a white chocolate version available from March 13th to 19th, the White Day period. Additionally, from February 1st to 28th, The Oak Door on the 6th floor will be offering the "Mr. & Mrs. Chocolate Burger" (¥2,200), featuring two types of chocolate burgers, one inspired by men and one by women. From February 10th to 14th, a special course menu (¥12,000) will be offered, featuring chocolate (cacao) in every menu item, from appetizers to desserts. During the same period, The Oak Door Bar on the 6th floor will also be offering cocktails such as "Ma Cherie" (¥1,800), a premium gin infused with Bulgarian Damascus rose, cucumber, and botanicals, topped with rosewater, and the "Cacao Soy Milk Punch" (¥1,700), a vodka-based cocktail with soy milk, cocoa, almonds, and hazelnuts. From February 5th to 14th, Maduro on the 4th floor will be offering the "Dark Chocolate Martini" (¥2,000), an authentic chocolate cocktail made with melted premium chocolate and vodka.
