Pierre Hermé Paris will be selling items perfect for White Day gifts from March 1st to 14th.
This year's White Day items feature limited-edition boxes featuring the world of "The Tale of the Kingdom of the Sun and Moon," a collaboration with French artist Nicolas Buffe, packed with macarons, the most popular White Day item. The "Ikcho Racer" (1,500 yen) features a boat race for the succession to the throne of the Sun Kingdom, held in a box depicting the boat-type Ikcho Racer.
The "La Cour" (2,500 yen) contains six macarons of five varieties in a box depicting "Zenon" sitting on the throne of the Sun Kingdom. The "Le Palais" (3,600 yen) contains ten macarons of six varieties in a case depicting the royal palace of the Sun Kingdom. "Hélios" (3,600 yen, exclusive to Isetan Mitsukoshi), which depicts the scene in which Prince "Hélios" of the Kingdom of the Sun discovers the princess of the Kingdom of the Moon, is filled with 10 macarons of 6 varieties, while "Iktionev" (5,500 yen), which depicts an airship traveling between the Kingdom of the Sun and the Kingdom of the Moon, is filled with 15 macarons of 7 varieties.
Three adorable heart-shaped limited edition cakes will also be available. "Tarte Coeur Hommage" (3,000 yen) is a tart with a memorable sweet flavor, combining fruity pear compote and chestnut-flavored crème chantilly. "Coeur Miroir Ispahan" (3,200 yen) is based on Pierre Hermé's masterpiece, "Ispahan," and the elegant flavor of rose enhances the fruity acidity and aroma of lychee and raspberry. "Coeur Fraisier" (3,200 yen) is a cake in which the subtle aroma of pistachios and almonds brings out the pleasant acidity of the strawberries.
There are also recommended items that make for casual and chic gifts. These include "Pâte de Fruits Assortment" (2,500 yen), an assortment of three types of jelly sweets packed with the delicious flavor of fruit, "Cake Ispahan" (2,500 yen), an Ispahan pound cake, and "Sable Satine" (1,500 yen), a sable characterized by the fragrant acidity of orange and passion fruit.
