Starbucks Card's contactless payment series, "STARBUCKS TOUCH The Drip," a new keychain design, will be available exclusively at select Starbucks and Beams stores and online starting January 20th.
Based on Starbucks' theme of "a new wearable payment experience," Beams produced "Starbucks Touch The Drip" with the keyword "combining digital and craft." This prepaid item was born from Beams' idea that "if you're buying your favorite coffee at your favorite place, why not make the act of buying it itself fun?"
The keychain's design is inspired by the "drops" extracted one by one when dripping coffee. The color palette includes five colors: green and orange, the corporate colors of Starbucks and Beams, as well as black and white, which symbolize coffee, and brown, which evokes a latte.
Prices start from 4,240 yen including tax, with a base price of 3,000 yen and a card charge of 1,000 yen or more, and after purchase, charging will be required at a Starbucks store or online.
The only stores that will be selling the product are seven Starbucks Coffee stores: Omotesando B-SIDE store, Kitasando store, Yoyogi store, Meiji Jingumae Metropia store, Jingumae 6-chome store, Omotesando Jingumae 4-chome store, and Tokyu Plaza Omotesando Harajuku store, as well as the Starbucks online store and Beams Harajuku.
