Yoshio Kubo creates a new concept of casual dressing with a style of "holding" clothes [Men's Fall/Winter 2017-18]

Jan 24, 2017

Yoshiokubo, supported by Giorgio Armani's support program, held his Fall/Winter 2017-18 collection show on the final day of Milan Fashion Week. Designer Yoshio Kubo, who doesn't set a theme for each season, vaguely imagined rodeo. Jackets featuring horse motifs are a signature item this season. Paisley-embroidered down jackets and blousons, shirts incorporating scarf patterns, and protruding fringe-like details added to the Western feel of the overall look. Furthermore, focusing on "carrying" clothes rather than wearing them, Yoshiokubo also created unique ways of presenting them. He created a new concept of casual dressing, with ponchos slung across the body like bags and down jackets simply slung over the shoulder. Kubo creates innovative designs and presentations in unique ways. This season, marking the brand's first European show in its 13th year, marks a milestone year for the brand, as it moves to the next stage. Kubo's challenge continues as he aims for even greater heights.
