Yoshiokubo presented its Spring/Summer 2014 collection. Designer Yoshio Kubo.
Blazers feature stripes, and cut-and-sew tops and knitwear feature a tricolor striped Basque-style shirt. Anchor-motif T-shirts, nylon coats, and deck shoes create a marine atmosphere. The color palette is orange, red, and blue, evoking the image of a passionate land.
Other outerwear includes a wide variety of "dandy"-style tailored jackets with a layered cape design, sporty windbreakers, and all-over print blousons. Many pants are short or cropped with a relaxed silhouette.
The print features flowers, boats, and birds in an original "Spanish Aloha" pattern. This fabric is used as an accent on the side panels of pants and T-shirts, as well as in all-over print sets and outerwear. "I thought the atmosphere of Andalusia, Spain, would be interesting in today's fashion, so I incorporated it into my designs," said Kubo. At the start of the show, a woman in a flamenco dress sprayed perfume into the venue, and dancer Benito Garcia performed.
