Yoshiokubo's 2017 Spring/Summer collection was unveiled at Chichibunomiya Rugby Stadium on July 20th. Starting with a black tailored jacket with bomber sleeves, the collection features a unique mix of different styles, including relaxed, voluminous tucked pants and a shirt draped with a scarf, creating a unique look. The color palette is based on chic monotone, with touches of neon orange and yellow, as well as subtle shimmers of silver and gold. The prints also feature a pylon motif. While the silhouettes exude elegance while subtly disrupting balance, and the subtle details of the design offer a glimpse of Yoshiokubo's signature style, this season's collection is strikingly more mature. The collection incorporates a sporty touch with Velcro sneakers and bench coats, creating a streamlined and airy look, showcasing a refined take on authentic Tokyo street style.

In the past, the collections have been presented during Tokyo Collection, but this time it has been changed to be held immediately after Paris Men's Fashion Week. The brand also unveiled a new brand logo that reads "yoshiokubo GROUNDFLOOR." Returning to the brand's identity, and as a new "TEAM" Yoshiokubo, the brand will be more globally conscious in its activities from now on. At the show's finale, drummer Yuumi's powerful and passionate performance was accompanied by fireworks that were launched at the neighboring Jingu Stadium. It was a night that symbolized the brand's new beginning.
