On January 26th, Paul Smith held his Fall/Winter 2015-16 men's collection show at the Paris Exchange in the heart of Paris. Recreating 1970s details like wide shoulders and peak lapels, the collection mixed graphic motifs to showcase new suit styles. One motif that particularly stood out this season was a combination of triangles and squares. This motif, borrowed from the work of Bauhaus graduates Josef and Annie Albers, was used on knitwear, coats, scarves, and more. The green and orange triangle motif in particular was inspired by Mexico, where the Albers traveled, and served as the base for the collection's accent colors. The pants paired with the pieces had a relaxed silhouette and were slightly cropped, reaching just below the ankles. Sheepskin was a prominent material in the collection. Used on shawls and maxi-length coats, the wild, masculine look was overwhelming.
