The Isetan Shinjuku store's main building's 6th floor baby and children's area will have its grand opening on March 4th. Ahead of the grand opening, the parent-child cafe "Latte Chano-mama," which opened on the same floor at the end of last year, is gaining attention.
The cafe's concept is "to be a place that's friendly to both children and mothers." A key feature is the spacious sofas and table seating, as well as raised mattress seats where you can take off your shoes, so that even those with small children or babies can relax comfortably.
Of course, the interior is meticulously cleaned and extremely comfortable. It's great to feel as relaxed as your living room at home. This cafe is perfect for enjoying a peaceful holiday with the whole family.
The menu features a variety of visually appealing dishes, including pasta, curry, and udon noodles made with seasonal vegetables, all sure to stimulate your appetite. During lunchtime, several value sets are available, each featuring stone-baked bread and a mini soup. Main courses include "Earth's Blessings Salad," "Vegetable and Egg Terrine with Carrot and Tomato Ketchup," "Poached Sea Bass with White Bean Puree," "Domestic Chicken and Mushroom with Soy Milk Cream Sauce," and "Sautéed Scallops and Asparagus with Apple and Cottage Cheese Salad." All are priced at 1,880 yen. The dessert menu is also extensive. Desserts packed with vitamin-rich seasonal fruits, such as "Delicious Fruits of the Moment" (980 yen, drink set 1,480 yen) and "Cheesecake with Earl Grey Crystal and Delicious Fruits of the Moment" (1,180 yen, drink set 1,680 yen), are a great way to boost your health, making them a delight for busy mothers. There's also a wide selection of herbal teas (880 yen), which can be customized to suit your specific symptoms and preferences. You can choose two or three types of tea leaves of your choice from around 24 types of herbs, and a waitress will serve them right to you.
Based on the concept of treating children with the same hospitality as adults, there is no special children's menu, but the menu is full of easy-to-eat, healthy dishes that are also carefully designed to look good, so that both adults and children can select from the same menu. Not only do they use carefully selected, safe ingredients, but they also make their own dressings, etc., which is a plus.
If you're bringing a baby, you can rest assured as there are vending machines for baby food and snacks in the "Baby Rest Area" adjacent to the cafe.
