Long Rain, a Thai restaurant in Ebisu, is offering a hot pot of tom yum soup with three different flavors this year.

Longrain, an Australian modern Thai restaurant on the 39th floor of Ebisu Garden Place Tower, is bringing back last year's hugely popular Tom Yum Coco Hot Pot.

Tom Yum Coco Hot Pot offers two different flavor variations: Tom Yum Soup and Tom Kha Soup. This year, they've also added a green curry base, which changes the flavor to green curry soup, resulting in a Tom Yum Coco Hot Pot (4,000 yen including tax) that allows you to enjoy three different flavor variations at once. The basic dish is a Tom Yum soup made with a rich, concentrated chicken and shrimp broth, and refreshing Thai herbs such as lemongrass, lime leaf, and galangal. The ingredients include colorful vegetables such as coriander, red radish, kailan, green papaya, and radicchio, as well as shimeji mushrooms, king oyster mushrooms, and seafood that go well with Tom Yum soup, such as shrimp, red sea bream, and scallops, as well as seared duck loin, chicken breast cooked at a low temperature until tender, and chicken meatballs kneaded with the crunchy vegetable "water chestnut." Served in a bamboo steamer, the dish is topped with a variety of toppings, including cilantro, red radish, kailan, green papaya, and radicchio, as well as shimeji mushrooms and king oyster mushrooms, as well as seafood that goes well with Tom Yum soup, such as shrimp, red sea bream, and scallops, seared duck loin, chicken breast that has been cooked at a low temperature until tender, and chicken meatballs kneaded with the crunchy vegetable "water chestnut."

The "flavor change" involves adding rich coconut cream, which transforms the spicy and sour tom yum soup into a mellow and rich tom kha soup. You can also enjoy green curry soup by adding green curry base. Finishing off with rice noodles, as is typical of Thai cuisine, makes for a very satisfying hot pot menu.

In addition to being available as a la carte, the "Tom Yum Coco Hot Pot" also comes with a "Free Flow Course" (6,500 yen including tax) which includes two hours of all-you-can-drink. Enjoy seafood spring rolls, two types of miang kham, tom yum coco hotpot, and ice cream to wash it all down. On a cold day, why not warm yourself up three times in one with a delicious ethnic hotpot?
