Swash London releases limited edition silk scarf featuring peacocks

Dec 6, 2012

Swash London is featured in a new promotional space in the women's accessories section on the first floor of the Isetan Shinjuku store. To celebrate the remodeled store, a 100% silk peacock-print scarf is available exclusively at the Isetan Shinjuku store. The print motif is inspired by the peacock reliefs adorning the exterior walls of the Shinjuku main building. It comes in three colors, including white and gray, and costs ¥39,900. The lineup also includes a cotton tote bag (¥18,900) and a large handkerchief (¥2,625) with the same pattern. A water-resistant polycarbonate iPhone case (¥5,040) features the brand's floral, animal, and other textile patterns. The exhibition runs until the 11th of this month. Swash London was founded by Sarah Swash and Akio Yamanaka, who met at the University of the Arts London. They won first prize at the Yale International Fashion Festival in 2004. Their signature items are scarves printed with delicate designs, featuring motifs of animals and nature, centered around the couple's beloved Whippet (a type of racing dog), Candy. Their products are sold in famous department stores around the world, including Barneys in New York, Le Bon Marché in Paris, and Liberty in London, and they have collaborated with brands such as Camper.
