The world flagship store "MUJI Ginza" has opened! Hotel, restaurant, bakery... A comprehensive report on the inside

"A traveler from the other side of the world sleeps soundly in bed, while the one-bedroom apartment dwellers choose their cleaning supplies tipsy. A couple buys a ready-made curry on their way home from a long-established sushi restaurant, while the girlfriend eats a freshly baked roll before work in the morning. This is what happens naturally at MUJI Ginza."

This is what a tabloid distributed at the opening of MUJI Ginza says: To help guests eat well, walk well, and sleep well, the building itself, including MUJI HOTEL GINZA, offers a variety of systems and services that cater to each individual's lifestyle.

Among these, MUJI has focused its efforts on and expanded its "food" offering. For urban dwellers, the fields, farms, and fishing grounds where food is produced have become distant, and food, which should have been a fundamental part of our daily lives, is increasingly becoming a commodity to be consumed. A visit here will provide an opportunity to reexamine the relationship between food and people, and will surely enrich people's lives.

Start your day at 7:30 AM. A huge selection of delicious food gathered on the first floor of MUJI in Ginza!

Bakery

The bakery, located right at the main entrance on the first floor, opens at 7:30 AM. The delicious aroma of freshly baked bread wafts outside the store. The signature dish is rolls, baked by artisans daily. For breakfast, you can enjoy organic coffee (hot/iced, 280 yen tax included) at the counter (equipped with power outlets). Other items on offer include sandwiches with seasonal ingredients, cream buns made with Honwaka sugar, fluffy and chewy white bread, and anpan (sweet bean buns) made with organically grown red beans, all freshly baked in-store.

For breakfast, if you order and pay in advance using "MUJI passport," you can receive your coffee and bread without waiting, even on busy mornings (coffee and a set of two rolls costs 380 yen tax included).

Condensed Milk Cream Bun (¥250 including tax) filled with milky condensed milk

Juice Stand

The juice stand opens at 10:00 AM. Enjoy fresh juices (Small: ¥350 including tax, Medium: ¥480 including tax) made with fruits and vegetables delivered every morning from trusted producers. We also recommend the Moririn-no-Boku Jersey milk soft serve ice cream (¥380 including tax), delivered directly from the farm.

MUJI Launches Bento Boxes

MUJI's "Daily Bento" (750 yen including tax) is a bento box featuring a recommended dish that makes the most of the natural flavors of the ingredients, modeled after traditionally popular dishes like chicken rice and Fukagawa meshi. By the way, no artificial seasonings are used. Other items available include rice balls (150 yen including tax), local lunch boxes from around the world (650 yen including tax), instant curry x saffron rice boxes (250 yen including tax), salads (500 yen including tax), and cut fruit (400 yen including tax), providing a full range of meals perfect for busy lunchtimes or short outings.

A delivery service is also available for the daily bento box. This service is available for orders of five or more by 9am on the day. Delivery is available within Chuo Ward, Chiyoda Ward, and Minato Ward, excluding some areas.

Marche

The market delivers seasonal produce directly from producers every day. A vibrant array of fruits, from various varieties of strawberries, Hyuganatsu oranges, blood oranges, and hassaku citrus, to vegetables like rape blossoms, taro, peppers, and Madonna cherry tomatoes, are on display. Ask the tasting advisors on the sales floor about the true season and the story behind the produce, and your cooking will surely taste even better.

Blended Tea Workshop

This space allows you to blend tea leaves from 32 different recipes, based on your mood that day. If you're unsure, try tasting the "Blend of the Day," available daily at the workshop, to find your favorite flavor. Orders can be picked up in as little as 10 minutes. It's sure to make a wonderful gift.

Souvenir Tins and Drawstring Bags

We also offer a gift wrapping service where you can have MUJI snacks, such as our popular chocolate-covered strawberries and arare rice crackers, packed into boxes, drawstring bags, or tins. As you'd expect from a global flagship store, they have everything from breakfast to Tokyo souvenirs.

All of these are found on just the first floor. MUJI Ginza, which stretches from the basement to 10 floors above ground, is a complex facility.

On the next page, we'll introduce MUJI Diner, the MUJI cafeteria on the basement floor.
