adidas Originals will release the "Chinese New Year Pack" from its collaborative collection with Pharrell Williams, "adidas Originals = PHARRELL WILLIAMS," on January 26th. The pack features two models, "SolarHuGlide" and "BYW," which feature designs celebrating Chinese New Year.
The red and gold coloring, inspired by Chinese culture, is imbued with the wish that "a happy new year will be bestowed upon the wearer." The "SolarHu Glide CNY" features the character "Fu" on the upper, representing the Chinese tradition of pasting the character "Fu" upside down on the front door in the hope of bringing good fortune to the family. The "BYW CNY" features the word "Ambition" embroidered in large letters on both the left and right uppers.
