adidas Originals will release the NITE JOGGER BOOST, a lifestyle running shoe designed for all those who enjoy the darkness, on January 12th.
The NITE JOGGER BOOST is based on the NITE JOGGER OG, a running shoe developed in 1979 for city runners who would run around town at dusk. It combines BOOST foam with reflectors to create a modern design.
The upper features lightweight nylon ripstop, soft mesh knit, and suede overlays, evoking details of the OG model. The midsole, previously made with EVA material, now features BOOST foam, providing the same high shock absorption and rebound properties as a running shoe. The orange accents on the black design, representing darkness, are a continuation of the original "Nite Jogger OG," creating a finish that embodies the brand's authenticity. The Morse code inscription on the outsole, intended to represent "night speed," also evokes the concept as a detail evocative of darkness. The reflective element, considered a defining feature of the OG model, features the same 3M Solas reflective material on the heel patch as the OG model, with overlays on the three stripes, heel, and toe. Metal tips embedded in the shoelaces ensure visibility and presence, even in the dark.
