Onitsuka Tiger has collaborated with artist Nishigata Saian, who uses traditional Japanese craft techniques to create his works, to release the "MEXICO MID RUNNER DELUXE" exclusively at the Onitsuka Tiger Omotesando store from January 26th.


Based on the brand's long-selling "MEXICO Mid Runner," the "MEXICO Mid Runner Deluxe" (38,000 yen) features Nishigata's signature hand-woven fabric around the ankle. The warp threads of the fabric are made of threads dyed in various colors with liquid extracted from plants, as well as gold and silver threads, resulting in a pair of shoes with a classic and fashionable look.

The shoes come in two colors: silver, which evokes a futuristic image, and purple, which has long been considered a noble color in Japan. To express gentleness, a soft lavender has been chosen rather than a strong purple. Both colors match casual styles as well as classic, elegant outfits, and make a perfect accent for your feet.

These shoes, which combine tradition and modernity, are perfect for wearing just as the new year begins. They will be on sale exclusively at the Onitsuka Tiger Omotesando store from January 26th.
