
The Palace Hotel Tokyo in Marunouchi, Tokyo, will be offering summer sweets and cocktails with refreshing summer flavors for a limited time only during the summer.
From June 1st to August 31st, the pastry shop "Sweets & Deli" on the basement floor will be selling three kinds of summer sweets made with sweet and sour, refreshing summer fruits. "Tarte aux Calamansi" (648 yen, tax included) is a tart made with calamansi, a fruit characterized by its refreshing sourness, and a fragrant almond crust. Other desserts include "Coctel aux Fruits" (648 yen, tax included), a glass dessert of fruit cocktail garnished with fromage cream, and "Opera Fruits Rouge" (594 yen, tax included), a traditional European chocolate cake finished with sweet and sour berries.
From June 1st to September 30th, the all-day dining restaurant "Grand Kitchen" on the first floor will be offering nine types of Italian gelato characterized by its elegant sweetness, bringing a touch of coolness to the summer. The lineup includes milk, chocolate & nut, banana, tiramisu, mango, coconut, strawberry milk, yuzu, and fig. Prices are 1,200 yen (tax included) for a selection of three types, and 1,500 yen (tax included) for a selection of five types. There is also a summer terrace plan "Summer Breeze Terrace at MARUNOUCHI 2015" (7,000 yen including tax, with free flow / an additional 5,000 yen) where you can enjoy food on the terrace seats. Portuguese and Spanish cuisine will be available in June and July, and Texas and Mexican cuisine in August and September. In addition, from June 1st to August 31st, the lobby lounge "The Palace Lounge" on the first floor will be offering a "Summer Afternoon Tea" (3,900 yen including tax, 5,600 yen including tax with a glass of champagne), perfect for enjoying with a glass of champagne. The menu features 11 dishes, including seasonal ingredients like edamame and eel, and desserts featuring seasonal fruits like pineapple and mango, all served in an original three-tiered box. In addition to food, from July 1st to August 31st, the main bar "Royal Bar" on the first floor will be offering cocktails using seasonal fruits like peach and watermelon, including a "Wasabi Caipiroska" made with lime and wasabi. From June 1st to August 31st, the lounge bar "Privé" on the sixth floor will also be offering four types of "Summer Cocktails," including mojitos and frozen cocktails.
