Palace Hotel Tokyo becomes first in Japan to adopt British brand Bamford as new amenity brand

Aug 27, 2014

Palace Hotel Tokyo will be introducing the British luxury organic brand Bamford as new amenities in all suites starting September 1st. While Bamford is available in 13 luxury hotels worldwide, Palace Hotel Tokyo is the first in Japan to offer the brand. The five items from the Bamford Green Weekender travel kit series include a plant-oil-based shampoo, a conditioner with nourishing macadamia oil and shea butter, a body wash containing plant-derived cleansing ingredients such as aloe vera and coconut, a clean-smelling body lotion, and a botanical soap with a fresh herbal scent. To celebrate the launch, a plan will also be available for those booking the "Family Moment" family accommodation plan, which includes the "Bamford Baby Collection" (4 varieties, priced at ¥14,500), suitable for babies from 3 months of age, in addition to the amenities listed above. This plan will also be available for non-suite rooms starting September 1st. The baby collection contains high-quality organic ingredients and is suitable for a wide range of skin types, from babies' to those prone to problems. It is also available for purchase at the concierge desk and club lounge.

Bamford's history began approximately 30 years ago when Lady Carole Bamford began organic farming on her own farm in the Cotswolds, England. Based on the philosophy that "organic and environmentally friendly living is true luxury," she has contributed to society through charity work and other activities, and in 2006 she founded Bamford as a lifestyle and fashion brand to further spread this philosophy. At the spa in the Cotswolds, you can enjoy treatments and activities such as yoga and Pilates.
