Ladurée has launched its 2018 Christmas collection. The collection features cakes, macarons, and chocolates decorated with iconic Scandinavian motifs, created by Norwegian chef Sverre Saetre.

Starting with Christmas 2018, Ladurée is inviting young talent from around the world to nurture stars in the French pastry world, bringing a breath of fresh air to a world of precision and high standards.
With this new approach, Sverre Saetre, a Norwegian chef well-known in Norway for creating the 2018 Christmas collection, opened his own pastry shop in 2004 and has written numerous books on pastry and chocolate.

Inspired by the customs of his country, the Buche de Noël "Buche Tine" (for 6 people, 9,000 yen) and "Buchet Tine" (for 1 person, 1,360 yen) are shaped like traditional wooden boxes called "tines."
In Norway, these wooden box tines are used to carry cakes, pies, and sweets at family meals, parties, and other events. This Buche de Noel features an almond dacquoise sandwiched between macadamia nut praline, layered with rice pudding-style ganache, cherry compote, and spice and rose-flavored mousse, allowing you to enjoy the distinctive flavors of Norway. The cake, decorated in red and white, is beautifully topped with the "Selbu Rose," an eight-pointed star inspired by the rose of the Norwegian town of Selbu. The Buche is topped off with a gold medal bearing the words "Happy Christmas" in Norwegian. The "Buche Tine" will be available from December 22nd to 25th, and the "Buchet Tine" from December 16th to 25th.
