Hummel launches campaign at official store to coincide with release of MINT mate box's new music video!

Danish lifestyle sports brand hummel has launched a collaboration campaign with the up-and-coming three-piece guitar rock band "MINT mate box" at four official S-Rush stores from October 6th.


This spring, MINT mate box served as ambassadors for hummel sneakers alongside Friends and SHE IS SUMMER in the "hummel loves music" project, which featured three artists with different musical styles. MINT mate box, a guitar rock band formed through social media by vocalist mahocato, bassist Yasuda Chihiro, and guitarist KJ, began full-scale activities in January 2017, garnering attention for their distinctively pop and colorful sound, and released their third EP, "ideal," on October 3rd. The three members of MINT mate box are wearing Hummel sneakers in the music video for "3cm," the lead track on "ideal," a love song that breaks new ground by combining a cute worldview with a touch of drama. Four S-Rush stores in Harajuku, Kichijoji, Yokohama, and Osaka are holding a campaign to coincide with the release of the music video.




From October 6th to October 19th, customers who purchase Hummel products at any S-Rush store will receive a postcard with a newly taken photo, on a first-come, first-served basis. Additionally, at the Harajuku and Osaka stores only, 5 people will be randomly selected to receive an original poster signed by the members.

Looking back on the "hummel loves music" project, vocalist mahocato said, "I once heard the phrase, 'If you wear great shoes, your shoes will take you to great places.' When I think about it, since I started wearing hummel, I've been able to go to so many places I'd never been before. Now, those places have become my home, and I feel like I've found my true self. I've enjoyed learning about the opinions and ways of thinking of people who grew up in completely different cultures and who have completely different values, and my horizons have broadened. I've been inspired in so many ways, and it's made me want to constantly improve myself."

We can't wait to see what the future holds for these artists who have grown through this project with hummel, one of the world's oldest sports brands.
