UNIQLO has announced the "UNIQLO and ALEXANDER WANG" HEATTECH collection, a collaboration with ALEXANDER WANG. The men's and women's lines are scheduled to be available in UNIQLO stores worldwide and online. This is the first collaboration between UNIQLO and Alexander Wang since the "Designers Invitation Project," which was launched 10 years ago in 2008. This collection combines UNIQLO's functional innerwear "HEATTECH," which was first released in 2003, with Alexander Wang's signature design to create a LifeWear that combines simplicity and strength. Alexander Wang commented, "As I branched out into a new genre, I was looking for a partner who could create clothes that were innovative yet affordable for my fans. UNIQLO, which values both functionality and practicality, was the ideal partner for this innerwear collection. This time, they were the ideal partner for our new innerwear collection using HEATTECH material. I couldn't be more excited to be part of this new venture, developing new innerwear using HEATTECH material, further advancing our relationship with UNIQLO since our collaboration 10 years ago." Alexander Wang is a Taiwanese-American designer born in San Francisco in 2005. At the age of 21, he founded his eponymous brand, Alexander Wang, in New York. Starting with knitwear, the brand expanded into a full line and made its runway debut at New York Collection in 2007. From 2012, he served as creative director of Balenciaga for three years.
