Folk Kitchen, the newly opened all-day dining restaurant at Hilton Osaka, will be hosting its first dessert buffet, "Dessert Buffet: Riding on the Magic Carpet," from September 14th to December 24th.
Folk Kitchen is an all-day dining restaurant where you can enjoy buffets from breakfast to lunch to dinner. They plan to hold themed dessert buffets with various story-based themes for each season, and this will be the first dessert buffet since the restaurant opened.
The theme for this year's dessert buffet is "Dessert Buffet: Riding on the Magic Carpet," recreating a slightly mysterious and bizarre world reminiscent of the Arabian Nights, where thieves gather and genies appear. The cafe offers a variety of original sweets that will transport you to a world of Arabian fantasy, including the "Mont Blanc-style Desert Castle," a roll cake topped with plenty of chestnut cream and made to resemble a palace with crunchy meringue, a chocolate fountain inspired by a palace courtyard, and the "A Thousand and One Nights Dream," a cake that stands out with its green apple texture and vibrant colors.

Inside the store, sweets are displayed on a flying carpet that looks like it could come to life at any moment, and there are exciting displays such as the golden treasure that Alibaba found in the cave and the genie of the lamp.
In addition to sweets, there will also be some slightly strange savory dishes inspired by the cave where thieves gather, such as "Thief Curry," black rice served with a blood-red sauce, and "Sacrificial Pumpkin Soup" served with jet-black croutons.
During the event, MYPLACE Cafe & Bar on the 1st floor will also be hosting an event called "Afternoon Tea Set - Riding on a Magic Carpet," where you can enjoy desserts based on the same concept. A box-shaped afternoon tea set resembling a jewelry box will be available.
