Hoshino Resorts Karuizawa Hotel Bleston Court will be hosting the "Forest Afternoon Tea - Autumn" from September 1st to November 30th, featuring "autumn flavors" like mushrooms and grapes.


During this event, the menu will be served in a wooden "Afternoon Tea Box" with a motif of sunlight filtering through the trees. The box is assembled with three shelves and a drawer, and when you open the double doors, soft light shines in like sunlight filtering through the foliage pattern on the front, revealing a miniature forest scene. The afternoon tea box is filled with finger foods and mignardises made with autumn ingredients. The finger foods, featuring the abundant and fragrant mushrooms of this season, include a "Mushroom Burger," "Mushroom Crepes," and "Mushroom Salad," all of which feature mushrooms like the yellow oyster mushroom and the matsutake mushroom, allowing you to enjoy a variety of mushroom flavors and textures. The box also features a cute, bite-sized sandwich featuring Shinshu salmon and ham sandwiched between colorful madeleines made with pumpkin and chestnut, adding a touch of color to the box. The drawer is dotted with vibrant maple leaves, and on top of them are 10 types of mignardises, including grape pâté de fruits (jelly) and nut tarts. You can also choose from over 10 drinks, essential for afternoon tea, including Darjeeling, Earl Grey, and herbal teas. In autumn, the hotel recommends Uva tea, known for its astringency and rich flavor. Enjoy an autumn teatime on the lounge's open terrace while admiring the beautiful autumn leaves.
