A combination of traditional New Year's dishes and gorgeous French cuisine, the Westin Tokyo's special "Japanese and Western New Year's Eight-inch Three-Tiered Box"

The Westin Tokyo (Meguro-ku, Tokyo) will be selling a limited-edition "Japanese and Western Osechi Hassun Three-Tiered Box" for the New Year 2023. Kazufumi Iwane, head chef of the Japanese restaurant Mai, will use his delicate craftsmanship to create traditional osechi dishes using carefully selected, high-quality ingredients. The beautifully colored three-tiered box incorporates gorgeous French cuisine throughout. This osechi, featuring celebratory dishes unique to the hotel, is perfect for a special occasion celebrating the New Year.

The first tier is filled with luxurious auspicious items such as wild sea bream sourced from Matsuyama, wild spiny lobster, abalone, and salmon roe, while the second tier is filled with a generous assortment of traditional New Year's dishes lovingly prepared by artisans, including black beans from Tamba that are carefully and painstakingly cooked over time, and is sprinkled with colorful appetizers from French restaurant "Victors." The third tier is beautifully lined with simmered and grilled dishes that are each carefully hand-cooked to bring out the flavor of the ingredients. This three-tiered New Year's meal box showcases the delicate craftsmanship of a master chef, and is perfect for celebrating the start of the new year.
