Jun 6, 2013

Versace's new men's fragrance, "Eros" (30ml/5,250 yen, 50ml/7,875 yen, 100ml/10,500 yen), will be released on the 7th.

The concept is "love, passion, beauty, and desire." The scent is a fresh oriental woody blend of mint leaves, tonka beans, and oakmoss. Perfumer Aurelien Guichard commented, "It expresses the idea of primal desire between men and women, and triumphant seduction." The turquoise blue bottle features the "VERSACE EROS" logo in gold lettering and Medusa, the house's symbol. The back is decorated with a Greek fret pattern.

The image video was shot in London by photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, known as "Merc & Marcus," under the supervision of Donatella. American model Brian Shimansky appears dressed like a Greek god. Donatella Versace commented, "If a Greek god were to wear a fragrance, it would be 'Eros.'"
