Blue Bottle Coffee is opening its first Kansai location. Its eighth location in Japan, Blue Bottle Coffee Kyoto Cafe, will be located in the Nanzenji area of Kyoto. 

Blue Bottle Coffee Kyoto Cafe is a renovated, two-story traditional Kyoto townhouse built over 100 years ago. Enjoy the beautiful, orderly structure of its heavy pillars and beams, as well as the rough yet tasteful exposed earthen walls, all of which make use of the existing architecture. While preserving the charming atmosphere of the Kyoto townhouse, the cafe adds a new dimension to express the aesthetic and aesthetic beauty unique to Blue Bottle Coffee. Experience the open, spacious atmosphere with large glass windows that let in natural light, a high ceiling, and lighting that makes the most of the spaciousness.
The Blue Bottle Coffee Kyoto Cafe is the largest of all Blue Bottle Coffee locations in Japan. It consists of two buildings utilizing the original building, and features four spaces with the theme of "bringing the joy of coffee closer to you." From front to back, there's a shop space displaying and selling original items, a cupping space where you can find your favorite coffee, a courtyard with terrace seating, and a cafe space.

To commemorate the opening, limited-edition items will be available for sale, including the re-release of the original knit cap that was sold exclusively when the cafe first arrived in Japan.
Blue Bottle Coffee Kyoto Cafe blends seamlessly into the historic, atmospheric streets. On a sunny day or while strolling around, if you want to take a break, enjoy a cup of drip coffee carefully brewed to order and pastries baked fresh in the kitchen daily in the courtyard or cafe space, which changes with the seasons.
