Tokyo souvenir brand "Tokyo Banana World" has released "Tokyo Banana Panda Banana Yogurt Flavor, 'I Found It!'". It will be available for pre-sale at JR Ueno Station, the closest station to Ueno Zoo, on December 19th, the same day Ueno Zoo's baby panda, Xiang Xiang, is open to the public.
To celebrate the birth of baby panda Xiang Xiang on June 12th, this special version of "Tokyo Banana" features a cute panda. A gentle banana yogurt-flavored cream, with the message "hopefully growing healthy and strong," is softly enveloped in a fluffy sponge cake decorated with a panda's face. Each box contains three Tokyo Banana pandas in random poses, each looking like they have something to say.
The packaging features a close-up of a cute panda's face gazing intently at the tip of its nose, and depicts the moment when a "Tokyo Banana Panda" flutters down and lands perfectly on the panda's nose.
It comes in three types: a pack of 4 (477 yen), a pack of 8 (1,000 yen), and a pack of 12 (1,477 yen), and from the 20th they will be on sale at JR Ueno Station, as well as JR Tokyo Station, Daimaru Tokyo, and Tokyo Solamachi.

In addition, "Tokyo Banana Panda Banana Yogurt Flavor, 'I Found It'" is supporting the Giant Panda Conservation Support Fund in hopes of the baby panda's growth. The fund was established by the Tokyo Zoological Park Society, a public interest incorporated foundation, and donations received from all over the country under the slogan "Let's spread the panda's dream!" are used for international panda conservation activities and the raising of pandas at Ueno Zoo.
