The Lounge, a tea and cocktail spot at Hotel New Otani Makuhari, will be holding the "Sweets & Sandwich Buffet - Strawberry Picking at the Hotel" from January 5th to March 31st, 2018. Reservations began at 10am on December 1st.

This event is a special buffet where you can enjoy strawberry picking, a classic early spring leisure activity, and hotel-made strawberry sweets at the same time. This marks the 10th year since the event began in the spring of 2009.

The theme at the venue will be "Strawberry & Chocolate" from January 5th to February 28th. The shop offers classic strawberry sweets like "Strawberry Shortcake," "Strawberry Napoleon Pie," and "Strawberry Tart," as well as new additions like "Chocolate Shortcake" and the rich "Opera," which combine bright red strawberries with bitter chocolate for a photogenic treat that's as adorable as it is delicious. New Japanese treats include "Strawberry Mamekan" and "Strawberry Roll," a strawberry and bean paste rolled in castella cake. From March 1st to 31st, the theme will be "Strawberry & Fromage."
