On the 8th, Volga Volga opened a shop attached to its atelier in Bakurocho, Tokyo, where it moved in February of this year.

Volga Volga is a Tokyo-based brand founded in 2000 by Russian designer Mikhail Panteleev and pattern maker Shiori Kurushima. The brand holds exhibitions in Paris and has about five stores in Japan. 90% of its business comes from overseas. The shop is open only on Saturdays.

"I wanted to listen directly to my customers' feedback and create clothes based on that. Our clothes are often handmade, so much so that customers often tell me they don't need to be so particular about their work. I want to sincerely listen to my customers' feedback and create better, more realistic clothes. Also, having the clothes on the racks in front of me helps me create the next collection," said designer Mikhail Panteleev.
