Muji's "Lucky Can" for storing lucky charms returns in 2013

Dec 11, 2012

MUJI's "Lucky Can" (2,013 yen), which sold out 10,000 units, will be on sale again in 2013 from January 1st (the first day of the New Year at each store), following on from 2012.

The contents include a handmade local toy selected as a "lucky charm" based on the concept of "discovering the interesting aspects of Japanese regionality," a 2,013 yen gift card for shopping at MUJI, a leaflet, and an original tenugui hand towel set.

In the first year, there were 14 "lucky charms" from the four Tohoku prefectures, but in 2013 the region has been expanded from Hokkaido to Kanto, with a total of 30 different types, all different from last year. The number of stores selling the lucky charms has been increased from 100 last year, and expansion to Hong Kong and Taiwan is also planned.
