Julius pop-up shop opens at Isetan Men's Building. Collaboration items with Kuboram available.

Jun 27, 2013

A limited-time event featuring the men's brand JULIUS's 2013-2014 Fall/Winter collection is being held on the second floor of Isetan Men's until July 2nd. The event features a monochrome film and photographs directed by designer Tatsuro Horikawa. The collection is based on a monochromatic theme, evoking the "crack" that exists between Germany's dark past and its present. Items on sale include a sculpted jacket with a worn, vintage-like finish on the surface of lambskin, and round sunglasses with a matte texture, created in collaboration with Berlin-based eyewear brand KUBORAUM. Horikawa founded Third Stone, a graphic design company, in 1996. The following year, in 1997, he launched the fashion brand Nuke, and launched JULIUS as an art project in 2001.

It is an art project because it is not just about clothes, but about expressing itself through the four elements of "clothing, video, graphics, and music." In 2003, the flagship store opened in Daikanyama, Tokyo. In 2004, the brand participated in the Tokyo Collection. In 2007, the brand held its first overseas exhibition in Paris.
