A pop-up shop for Berlin-based eyewear brand KUBORAUM is open until June 25th on the second floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Men's Building. The shop features new and classic items, including heavy frames individually burned with a burner and a 24-hour lens series that allows sunglasses to be worn even in low-light conditions. Limited-edition sunglasses adorned with 24-karat gold are also available. KUBORAUM, which officially launched in Japan this season, launched its collection in 2012. Based on the concept of "eyewear = mask," its designs feature oversized frames and pince-nez details. Lenses are supplied by German optical equipment manufacturer Carl Zeiss, and all products are manufactured in Italy. The brand gained popularity in the Berlin club scene and expanded to 120 stores overseas just one year after its launch. Celebrities such as Kate Moss and Madonna have also worn its products. It has attracted attention from the fashion world, including a collaboration with JULIUS and being used in ready-to-wear shows.
