The Fall/Winter 2022/23 Haute Couture collection built on the previous show while expanding on its image. The set, designed by Xavier Veilhan, expressed a playfulness with stripes and shapes, drawing inspiration from visual camouflage.

The rounded shoulders, squared backs, and embroidered geometric shapes and patterns are reminiscent of the 1930s and echo the highly "graphic" decorative constructivism of Karl Lagerfeld. "I also like to break up graphic approaches with natural looks. Light, feminine, and designed to be worn—I can't imagine anything else," she concluded.

"For my Fall/Winter 2022/23 Haute Couture collection, I continued to expand on the ideas of my previous show, while leaving room for experimentation," said Virginie Viard. "Xavier Veilhan, Sébastien Tellier, and other artists close to me, such as Charlotte Casiraghi, Pharrell Williams and model Vivienne Launer, bring the magic of haute couture to life."

"In this new collection, we see the suits and long, form-fitting dresses that Gabrielle Chanel envisioned in the 1930s. Dresses are featured, such as pleated wedding dresses, which feature accentuated shoulders. The same goes for lace, which is inlaid, reworked, embroidered or given color. The color palette consists of vibrant greens, khakis, beiges, pinks, and lots of black and silver.

To mark the anniversary of the High Jewelry collection, Virginie Viard chose a necklace depicting "celestial elements" from the unique High Jewelry collection "Bijoux de Diamants" designed by Gabrielle Chanel in 1932. The pairing was created because "it complements the pleats so well." Models wore T-strap pumps as well as cowboy boots, adding a twist to the long skirts and a nod to the Etriers Equestrian Center, where the show was held. "The boots echo the previous Haute Couture show, which was opened by Charlotte Casiraghi on horseback," added Virginie Viard. While nodding to the 1970s, the rounded shoulders, squared backs, and embroidered geometric shapes and patterns evoked the 1930s, echoing the highly "graphic" decorative constructivism of the 1930s.

This was a keyword that Karl Lagerfeld was particularly fond of. The set was inspired by visual camouflage, with a playful use of stripes and shapes. "Xavier Veilhan had fun creating the space, allowing the soft sounds to lure you in, allowing you to slow down and fully immerse yourself in the setting." This freedom is also evident in the tweed, large men's hats and wide-brimmed capes. "I also like to break up the graphic approach with a natural look. Light, feminine, and designed to be worn. I can't imagine anything else."
