Founded in 1954 in Denenchofu, Roza is a long-established Western-style pastry shop specializing in chocolate, buttercream cakes, and cookies. Their signature "Russian Chocolate" (approximately 30 pieces for 3,500 yen, best-by date approximately one and a half months) is famous for its cute packaging, which has remained unchanged since the shop's founding, and may even be a bit of a household name in the confectionery world. Wrapped in white paper with a gold ribbon, the "Russian Chocolate" exudes a nostalgic feel. Untie the ribbon to reveal a chic tin with the word "ROZA" in black on a beige background, filled with chocolates wrapped in colorful paper. The wrappers, featuring exotic illustrations of fruits, animals, and men in top hats, as well as Russian lettering, will pique your curiosity.

The gold ribbon adds a nostalgic touch.

The charming Russian text and retro illustrations on the individual packaging are a delight.
For yourself, try a bag of mixed chocolates (20 pieces for 1,950 yen) or individual flavor bags (11 varieties in total). Each flavor starts from 950 yen, so you can buy your favorite flavor again and again.
There is also a secret menu item, pineapple chocolate. Apparently, pineapple is not included in the mixed chocolate assortment because the syrup can leak out of the chocolate coating.
It is recommended not only for women who like retro things and miscellaneous goods, but also as a gift for older people. It may sell out by the evening, so it is best to make a reservation by phone.
