From September 29th to October 15th, Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse Event Square will host Yokohama Oktoberfest 2017, a traditional autumn event where you can enjoy an atmosphere as close as possible to the real thing in Germany.

This marks the 16th time the event has been held since the last one, which attracted 146,000 visitors, and for the first time, it will feature beers from the six major Munich breweries that have been granted permission to brew for Oktoberfest by the German government: Augustiner, Löwenbräu, Spaten, Hacker-Pschorr, Hofbräu, and Paulaner. Also available in Japan for the first time on draft are the "Meisel's Weiss Original," which combines the sweet aroma of banana and peach with a slightly spicy flavor; the rich "Meisel & Friends Bavaria Ale," with a fruity aroma reminiscent of Weissbier and a moderate bitterness; and the "Meisel & Friends Chocolate Porter," with its fragrant aroma of dark chocolate and espresso, sweet aroma of caramel, and creamy foam (1,400 yen each, tax included). In addition to the largest selection of beers ever, over 140 varieties will also be available, along with food that pairs perfectly with the beer. The menu includes the "Sausage Platter" (2,000 yen, tax included) featuring currywurst, frankfurters, white sausages, and the exclusive "Eisbein" (1,200 yen, tax included), pork shank slowly simmered in herbs and bouillon.

For the first time, a tent with luxurious sofa seating will be set up in the outdoor area facing the ocean. This will be the second venue, where cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks will be the main focus. The total seating capacity of venues 1 and 2 is 3,372.

In addition, the "Red Brick HERBST" campaign will be held at Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse No. 1 and 2 and all restaurants from September 16th to October 15th. Items on offer include a limited edition "Canvas Eco Bag" (1,069 yen including tax), a "BEER Handkerchief" with beer embroidery (864 yen including tax), and a beer hall classic "Beer Hall Plate" (3,974 yen including tax).

An opening ceremony is scheduled to be held on the first day of the event.
